Yesterday was such a beautiful day, that after church we had the itch to hike! We packed up the car and headed up to Table Rock State Park. We had never been there before and heard such great things about it, we could not wait to go. We grabbed a sandwich, all the baby necessities, Addis and put on our hiking shoes! It was the perfect family excursion. We did not quite know how it was going to turn out with Grace, but is was a lot better than I originally thought. Of course, we did take two nurse breaks/ water breaks. We made it to the very top and basked in the glory of our Lord, after all it was His day.
Most of you might not know that my husband, Michael, proposed to me on a hiking trip. It is part of who we are. It was so nice to hike as a family, with our new addition. She did so great! She loves being outside, looking at everything, listening to all the new sounds and hanging onto daddy is not bad either. She even took a couple naps while hiking.
This was just the beginning of many more excursions to come!

ReplyDeleteWe spent our honeymoon night at Table Rock. Well there is a b & b there and the window faces table rock! Love that place!
